Invite Justice Nagarathna to inaugurate Mysuru Dasara: MLC

Congress MLC and State vice-chairman of the Guarantee Implementation Authority Dinesh Gooligowda urged the State government to consider inviting Supreme Court judge Justice B.V. Nagarathna to inaugurate this year’s Mysuru Dasara.

In a memorandum submitted to Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar, Mr. Gooligowda urged the government to invite Justice Nagarathna in recognition of her contribution to judiciary.

Mr. Gooligowda said selecting Justice Nagarathna would be particularly significant, as she is set to create a milestone in the country’s judicial history by becoming India’s first woman Chief Justice next year.
