Introducing OpenFatigue
OpenFatigue is a satirical project mocking the overuse of the term 'open' in the tech industry. It highlights how many companies use the label for marketing while maintaining closed-source practices.
Why it matters
It reflects growing skepticism within the developer community regarding the dilution of 'open source' terminology by corporate entities.
OpenChamber. OpenAI. Open WebUI. OpenDoor. OpenTable. OpenClaw. Open weights. Open this. Open that. The word has been opened so many times it no longer closes. OpenFatigue™ is the first fully Open-branded platform for people who are exhausted by fully Open-branded platforms.
*Free as in “free trial.” Not free as in freedom. Not free as in beer. Free as in “we'll email you.”
