The Minister for the Interior, Alhaji Muntaka Mohammed-Mubarak, has announced that the government will offer police recruitment opportunities to families who lost relatives during the police shooting at Sefwi Sayerano in the Western North Region.
The announcement came when the Interior Minister, accompanied by the Minister for Health and Member of Parliament for Sefwi Juaboso, Kwabena Mintah Akandoh, visited the bereaved families and the community following the tragic incident.
Addressing residents, Alhaji Muntaka appealed for calm and assured them that justice would be served as investigations into the shooting continue.
The Interior Minister also pledged to construct a police station in the community to strengthen security and improve police-community relations.
He assured residents that the government would ensure the outcome of the investigations is fair and transparent.
“The right thing will be done, and justice will be served without fear or favour,” he assured.
