Neradigonda police in Adilabad district busted an inter-district vehicle-lifting gang by arresting 10 members and recovering seven motorcycles, three autorickshaws and a car worth around ₹17 lakh.
The arrested persons, all from Nirmal, included alleged kingpins Yasar Ahmed, 25, and Sohail, 25, police said.
The gang was allegedly involved in a string of vehicle thefts in Hyderabad and the erstwhile Warangal and Karimnagar districts.
Five gang members had allegedly threatened police with a knife and fled after being stopped at Kupti check post during a vehicle checking drive in Neradigonda mandal on Friday night.
