Institute launches sapling planting initiative

The Kanchi Mamunivar Government Institute for Postgraduate Studies and Research has launched another round of sapling plantation exercise under the title ‘One Plant, One Promise-3.0’. Minister for Home and Education A. Namassivayam inaugurated the campaign by planting a Bilvam tree (Aegle Marmelos) sapling, the institute said in a release. He also inaugurated the induction ceremony for PhD students by distributing admission letters to the selected candidates, a press release said. Director of the Institute Sasi Kanta Dash was present on the occasion.
