Inner Wheel Club of Madurai City celebrates golden jubilee

The Inner Wheel Club of Madurai City celebrated its golden jubilee, honoring past leaders and highlighting its five decades of service since its inception in 1976. The club supports various causes through its annadhanam, vocational, educational, and medical funds, and marked the jubilee with an ₹11 lakh contribution to the Angel Devaki Prabhakaran Home for abandoned elders.

The members of the Inner Wheel Club of Madurai City celebrated the golden jubilee here on Monday.
Marking the celebrations, the speakers hailed the yeomen services of the past presidents, chair persons and other office-bearers since its inception in 1976 by Rukmini Shanmugam.
Today, the club has four funds - namely annadhanam for poor feeding, vocational fund for providing short term computer courses for college girls, educational fund for aid in the field and medical fund for providing dialysis support. To commemorate the golden jubilee, the club members supported the cause of abandoned elders and seniors in the Angel Devaki Prabhakaran Home functioning at Mukkampatti village near here with a contribution of ₹11 lakh.
