The Indian National League (INL) on Thursday (July 30, 2026) questioned Chief Minister V.D. Satheesan after Union Minister of State for Education Jayant Chaudhary informed Parliament that the PM SHRI scheme had not been implemented in Kerala and that the State had only signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU).
In a statement, INL State general secretary Kasim Irikkur said the Centre’s clarification contradicted the Chief Minister’s repeated assertion that the State was bound to go ahead with the scheme because the previous Left Democratic Front (LDF) government had signed the MoU.
