Inflow into Mettur Dam reduces
Inflow into the Mettur Dam in Tamil Nadu has decreased following a reduction in water discharge from the Kabini Dam in Karnataka. Officials expect the inflow to rise again as discharge levels from upstream reservoirs are adjusted.

On Saturday, inflow into the Stanley Reservoir in Mettur reduced to 10,808 cusecs from Friday’s inflow of 13,674 cusecs.
The dam’s water level stood at 78.03 feet against its full reservoir level of 120 feet. The storage level stood at 40.02 tmcft compared to its full capacity of 93.47 tmcft. The amount of water discharged from the dam into River Cauvery for drinking water purposes is maintained at 1,500 cusecs.
