The Indians in Sydney Gala 2026 brought together hundreds of guests, political leaders, community representatives, business figures and families for a major celebration of Indian heritage, multiculturalism and community achievement in Sydney.
Held at Doltone House, Darling Island, overlooking Sydney Harbour, the annual multicultural gala welcomed an estimated 400 guests for an evening celebrating culture, leadership, friendship and the contributions of multicultural communities to New South Wales and Australia. The event was held on Friday, 21 August 2026.
This year’s gathering carried additional significance as it celebrated India’s 80th Independence Day, providing an opportunity for the Indian-Australian community and its friends to reflect on India’s journey since independence while also celebrating the strong and growing relationship between Indian heritage and contemporary Australian identity.
