Why it matters
This win is a significant historical achievement for the Indiana football program and impacts the landscape of the Big Ten conference standings.
ANN ARBOR, MI — Indiana football did not score a touchdown in regulation, nor completed a pass in the second half, yet found a way to win with its stingy defense 13-6 in overtime at Michigan .
It was the first win at the Big House for the Hoosiers since 1967, and it was the first time since coach Curt Cignetti took over his team did not score a touchdown in regulation. It was rather ugly, though, on the offensive end as IU quarterback Josh Hoover was limited, Cignetti told Fox postgame, with an undisclosed ailment but knew he would play. Hoover was not listed on the injury report leading up to the game, but did appear hurt in last week's loss against Ohio State .
