Indian, U.S. navies to hold joint EOD exercise in Kochi
The Indian and U.S. navies are scheduled to conduct their eighth joint Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) exercise in Kochi this August. The bilateral training aims to improve interoperability and operational synergy between the two nations' specialist diving and EOD teams.

The Indian Navy–U.S. Navy Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Exercise 2026 will be held at the Southern Naval Command here from August 10 to 14.
The bilateral exercise aims to enhance interoperability and strengthen professional cooperation between the specialist diving and EOD teams of the two navies, according to a communication.
The exercise is designed to promote collaborative learning and operational synergy, enabling personnel from both navies to refine procedures, improve mutual understanding and strengthen their ability to respond effectively to complex and evolving challenges, says an official press release.
