Indian cricket, in terms of fast bowling, is in good hands: Prasidh

Prasidh Krishna, like all aspiring cricketers of his generation, grew up watching Virat Kohli bat.

On Sunday night at the Greenfield Stadium here, the Indian quick got to watch from the dressing room the master conjuring up an extraordinary knock.

“It was unbelievable,” he said, echoing just about everyone who witnessed that stunning assault by Kohli in the first ODI, which India won with more than eight overs remaining.

“Sitting outside, we were thinking, what do we bowl to him at that moment? He was striking the ball really, really well. We were all excited.”

Prasidh too contributed to the Indian win, claiming two wickets. And he has been having a good time with the white ball; he is India’s leading bowler in ODIs this year with 15 wickets from eight matches.
