India’s Dr Karanjit Singh attends 70 Tanzanians with brain and spine complications
DAR ES SALAAM: 70 people suffering from various conditions affecting the brain and spine have received specialist medical advice from Dr Karanjit Singh, a consultant neurosurgeon from Medanta Hospital in Gurugram, India.
Dr Singh met the patients in Dar es Salaam, where he provided expert guidance on appropriate treatment options for their conditions, stressing that some disorders can be treated without surgery.
He emphasised the importance of seeking specialist medical advice before undergoing surgery, noting that proper assessment could help patients avoid unnecessary procedures that may potentially worsen their conditions.
Speaking on the initiative, Dr Mustafa Dadam, a doctor from Dar es Salaam's Tiba ya Jioni Hospital, said Dr Singh's visit to Tanzania this year marked his third visit, aimed at helping Tanzanians access specialist advice on appropriate treatment options for brain and spinal disorders.
