India, Russia four-day talks in Delhi on Army land systems

Indian and Russian military officials are meeting in New Delhi for the fifth Army Land Systems Sub-Group session. The talks aim to strengthen bilateral defense cooperation and review ongoing technological and industrial projects.

India and Russia are holding the fifth meeting of the Army Land Systems Sub-Group (ALSSG) in New Delhi from August 4 to 7 to review ongoing military technical cooperation and explore ways to strengthen collaboration in land systems and defence technology.
According to the Indian Army, the meeting is being held under the framework of the India-Russia Intergovernmental Commission on Military and Military Technical Cooperation (IRIGC-M&MTC), one of the key institutional mechanisms overseeing defence cooperation between the two countries.
The Indian delegation is led by Lieutenant General Rahul R. Singh, Deputy Chief of Army Staff (Capability Development and Sustenance), while the Russian delegation is headed by Major General Tufekchi Aleksandr, Deputy Head of the Main Armoured Directorate of the Russian Ministry of Defence.
