India-New Zealand FTA to be enforced by late October: Commerce secretary

The India-New Zealand free trade agreement is expected be implemented by late October, with official dates to be announced shortly, commerce secretary Rajesh Agrawal announced on Tuesday."We are expecting that the agreement will get operationalised in the latter half of October 2026. The exact date for the same will be announced soon ... because both sides have to completely take stock of the operationalisation processes and procedures," he said.An official told PTI that the agreement could come into force from October 19.The FTA signed on April 27 will provide duty-free access for all Indian exports to New Zealand.
