India, Bhutan commend progress in bilateral development cooperation

Mr. Jaishankar arrived in Bhutan on Wednesday (September 18, 2026) on a two-day official visit aiming to further strengthen the bilateral ties and cooperation between the two countries.
During the visit, Mr. Jaishankar received an audience with King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck , called on Prime Minister Tshering Tobgay, and held talks with his Bhutanese counterpart D. N. Dhungyel.
