Income Tax Department conducts outreach programme for PACCS in Thoothukudi

The Income Tax Department, Thoothukudi has conducted an outreach programme for Primary Agricultural Cooperative Credit Societies (PACCS), here on Friday.
According to the press release, the programme was held under the guidance of V. Vivekanandan, principal commissioner of Income Tax, Madurai, and the direction of F.A. Yaseer Arafat, additional commissioner of Income Tax, Thoothukudi.
The sessions organised at the programme provided a detailed overview of the key amendments introduced in the Income Tax Act 2025, financial procedures and strategies to reduce income-tax related litigation faced by cooperative societies.
Income Tax officers Kanda Saravanan and Shunmuga Sundar Raj of Thoothukudi created awareness on the statutory deadlines for filing Income Tax Returns (ITR). They elaborated on the procedures to avail 100% tax exemptions by ensuring timely and accurate compliance.
