Roadworks are continuing on the network of state roads in Latvia at 58 sites. Drivers are advised to plan their trips in advance, as travel times may significantly increase on some routes.
The most serious restrictions are currently in place on the regional road Valdgale — Roja (P126) between Valdemārpils and Rūde. Here, traffic is regulated by up to five temporary traffic lights, and passing through the construction area can take about one hour.
Additional difficulties are created by the harvest season. There has been an increase in agricultural machinery on the roads, which moves slower than regular traffic.
In this regard, the company *Latvijas Valsts ceļi* urges drivers not to make risky overtakes, to maintain distance, and to consider possible delays.
