Eye donation is one of the noblest forms of donation and can help restore sight to another person, said Guruprasad, Dean, Faculty of Medical Sciences, KBN University.

As the chief guest at the National Eye Donation Fortnight programme, organised at KBN Hospital in Kalaburagi on Tuesday (September 1), he said people should be made aware of the facilities available at the hospital. Dr. Guruprasad added that the KBN Eye Bank could be contacted at any time for eye donation.

KBN Hospital Medical Superintendent Siddalinga Chengati said eye donation could bring light into another person’s life and stressed the need to create greater awareness about the importance of donating eyes. He congratulated the Department of Ophthalmology for organising the programme.
