Immigrants face longer ICU stays after stroke in Canada
A study published in Neurology found that immigrants in Canada who suffer a stroke are admitted to the intensive care unit at similar rates as long-term residents. However, these immigrants are more likely to experience longer stays in the ICU compared to those born in Canada.
