The northern parts of Andhra Pradesh received light to moderate showers, while isolated stations in other parts of the State too recorded rain on Saturday, as a low-pressure area formed over the Andaman Sea.

Between 8.30 a.m. and 7 p.m., Srinivas Colony area in Salur mandal of Parvathipuram Manyam district received the day’s highest of 63 mm rainfall, followed by Narsipatnam, Nathavaram, Chodavaram, Kasimkota and Ravikamatham mandals that recorded rain in the range of 39 mm to 59 mm.

Gotlagattu of Markapuram district, Isakapalli of SPSR Nellore district, Unguturu of Eluru district, Velanka of Kakinada district and Nemalikallu of Palnadu district also recorded moderate rain, between 55 mm and 32 mm.
