IIT Dharwad achieves over 91% placements
IIT Dharwad reported a 91.08% placement rate for its 2026 graduating batch, with top salary packages reaching ₹82 lakh per annum. The institute attributes this success to its industry-oriented curriculum and strong corporate partnerships.

A campus recruitment drive in the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Dharwad has succeeded in getting placement offers for 91.08% of students.
“The year 2025-26 has been successful for the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Dharwad, which is a third generation IIT, as it has clocked an impressive 91.08% placement rate for its B.Tech 2026 graduating batch,” IIT Dharwad Director Venkappayya Desai has said in a release.
“Under the B.Tech programme, the highest package is ₹82 lakh per annum, while average salary is ₹21.15 lakh. In the M.Tech programme, the highest package is ₹30 lakh and average package is ₹12.9 lakh. The placement season witnessed enthusiastic participation from more than 120 leading national and multinational organisations spanning sectors such as information technology, core engineering, manufacturing, semiconductor, consulting, analytics, finance and emerging technologies,” Prof. Desai said.
