IIT-B suicide case: New CCTV footage shows Sahil before he left exam hall

MUMBAI: A CCTV footage of IIT-Bombay student Sahil Wakode’s movements inside the examination hall on the day of his death has emerged. It shows Sahil looking at something in his pocket before a professor approaches and questions him.The 50-second video accessed by TOI captures the sequence between 12.30pm and 12.45pm on September 18, as police examine CCTV recordings to reconstruct the events preceding his death.Sahil, wearing what appears to be a black T-shirt and light-coloured trousers, is seen seated on the first bench in the middle of the hall.He bends down and looks at something in his pocket. A professor conducting a round subsequently approaches him and questions him.Sahil then gets up, collects his belongings and prepares to leave.
