IISER Thiruvananthapuram assistant professor found dead

Jayanta Sarkar, an assistant professor of mathematics at IISER Thiruvananthapuram, was found dead on the campus road early Sunday morning. Police are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding his death.

Jayanta Sarkar, 33, an assistant professor in the School of Mathematics, Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) Thiruvananthapuram, was found dead during the early hours of Sunday. According to official sources, the deceased, who hailed from West Bengal, was found lying on a road within the campus, with his motorcycle parked nearby. Despite being rushed to a hospital, he was pronounced dead. The police are yet to ascertain the cause of death.
