After almost eight years, the examination fee, admission fee for examination, marks card fee and others for II PU students in both government and private colleges across the State has been increased by 50%.

The government order stated that the Department of Pre-University Education and Karnataka State Examination and Assessment Board (KSEAB) had proposed to increase the exam and other related fees.

A KSEAB official said, “The exam fee hike was proposed two years ago and it was not increased for various reasons. The same fee has continued since 2018. Now that the paper and printing costs have increased, the fee had to go up too.”
