IHC directs DG Immigration and Passport to implement court’s orders

ISLAMABAD - The Islamabad High Court (IHC) Monday directed Director General Immigration and Passport Muhammad Ali Randhawa to implement court's orders regarding removal of citizens' names from passport control list until the next date of hearing. A single bench of IHC comprising Justice Azam Khan conducted hearing of the contempt of court petitions filed for not removing their names from the PCL despite the court's orders. The judge warned the DG that if the names of the citizens were not removed from the passport control list in accordance with the court orders, then the IHC would issue a contempt of court notice and no unconditional apology would be accepted.
During proceedings, Justice Azam Khan gave more time to the authorities to implement the court order, warning that this is final concession for the government.
