Former Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett on Friday condemned a documentary film about the war in Gaza that he said accuses Israel of genocide, calling it a "horrific blood libel" against Israeli soldiers.
Bennett, writing on X, said the film's message was particularly painful because it was made by Israeli filmmakers and is being distributed internationally.
He defended Israel's conduct in the war, arguing that Hamas deliberately operates from within civilian areas and that civilian deaths are an inevitable and tragic consequence of fighting the group.
"There is no magic button" to destroy Hamas while avoiding "harming a single civilian," he wrote.
