The IDF launched a large-scale exercise in Eilat and along the eastern border on Monday.
The exercise is being led by the IDF’s 80th Division and is intended to strengthen the operational readiness of forces under 'extreme scenarios' and a surprise attack. The military said the drill was developed using lessons learned from the Hamas-led attack on October 7, 2023.
All units in the division are participating alongside the Israeli Air Force and Navy, in coordination with other security agencies.
