NEW DELHI: India hosted the 18th Brics Summit in New Delhi on September 12-13, bringing together leaders of the expanded 11-member grouping for discussions on global conflicts, terrorism, trade, energy, technology, climate change and reform of international institutions. India used its 2026 chairship to push a people-centric agenda centred on resilience, innovation, cooperation and sustainability.The summit was marked by high-level bilateral meetings, visible displays of bonhomie among leaders and efforts to bridge differences over the conflicts in West Asia and the Black Sea region.
