“We’re worried about my mom first and foremost,” said Ronaldo Salgado, the eldest of Salgado Araujo’s three sons. “She’s now left without her best friend and partner of 40 years. They met as kids and they’ve been with each other for decades. They’re a true partnership. My dad provided for her and for us. My mom made him lunch every single day he went to work.”
