ICANN Reveals 2026 Round Applications for New Generic Top-Level Domains

ICANN has published the list of applications for the 2026 round of new generic Top-Level Domains (gTLDs). This milestone allows organizations to expand their digital presence through new domain strings.

Today, the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) published the list of applications received in the New Generic Top-Level Domains (gTLD) Program: 2026 Round , revealing the applied-for strings and applying entities. As required by community-developed policy set forth in the Applicant Guidebook , the published data includes the applied-for primary strings and any applicable variant or replacement strings, a list of contention sets ( CSV format ), and public portions of each application.
