NEW DELHI: The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has declared the results of the CA Foundation Examination held in May 2026. Along with the result, the Institute has released the examination statistics, including the overall pass percentage, gender-wise performance and details of candidates who qualified.Candidates who appeared for the examination can access their results and marks through the official ICAI result portal by entering their registration number and roll number. The Institute has also published the performance analysis of the examination and announced the names of the top three rank holders.More than 18,000 candidates qualifyAccording to the data released by ICAI, a total of 90,217 candidates appeared in the CA Foundation Examination held in May 2026. Out of them, 18,124 candidates have been declared successful, taking the overall pass percentage to 20.09 per cent.Among male candidates, 46,798 appeared for the examination, while 9,769 qualified, resulting in a pass percentage of 20.88 per cent.Follow the latest updates hereFor female candidates, 43,419 appeared and 8,355 cleared the examination. The pass percentage among female candidates stood at 19.24 per cent.ICAI also stated that a total of 1,06,144 candidates had been admitted for the May 2026 Foundation examination. Candidates are required to enter their registration number along with their roll number to access the scorecard.The released scorecard enables candidates to view their examination performance after successful login through the official portal.CA Foundation Merit list also announcedAlongside the declaration of the result, ICAI released the names of the top three rank holders in the CA Foundation Examination.Sakshi Jain from Nashik secured the All India first rank after obtaining 371 marks, equivalent to 92.75 per cent.The All India second rank was secured by Ayanabbas Ajani from Chandrapur with 367 marks, translating to 91.75 per cent.Radha Unmesh Mulay from Pune secured the All India third rank with 365 marks, corresponding to 91.25 per cent.The merit list reflects the highest-performing candidates in the May 2026 examination and was released together with the overall result.ICAI President congratulates successful candidatesFollowing the declaration of the results, ICAI President CA Prasanna Kumar D congratulated the successful candidates and acknowledged the beginning of their Chartered Accountancy journey.In his message, he said that qualifying the Foundation examination marks the beginning of a transformative journey towards becoming a Chartered Accountant.
