IAF’s Surya Kiran Aerobatic Team to perform at Mysuru Dasara from October 18 to 20

The Indian Air Force’s (IAF) Surya Kiran Aerobatic Team is scheduled to perform a three-day air show in Mysuru from October 18 to 20 as part of the Dasara festivities. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh confirmed the team's participation in a letter to Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar, stating it would enhance the grandeur of the celebrations. However, the Sarang Display Team will not be able to participate due to prior commitments.

Confirming the participation of IAF’s elite aerobatic demonstration squadron Surya Kiran, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, in a letter to Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar, said the participation of Surya Kiran Aerobatic Team will add to the grandeur of the celebrations and provide an opportunity to the people of Karnataka to witness “professionalism, skill, and precision” of the armed forces.
“I am confident that the display will be warmly received by the people of Mysuru and the visitors attending the Dasara festivities”, Mr. Singh said.
Mr. Singh, however, said it would not be possible to deploy the Sarang Display Team for the festival due to prior commitments.
