'I was crying in pain': How 3 men turned teen's birthday outing into horror

NEW DELHI: "I was crying and was in severe pain." With these words, the 17-year-old survivor recounted to police the terrifying moments she endured inside Aastha Kunj Park Monday, when three men allegedly overpowered her, threatened her with knives and raped her after first posing as policemen."Today (Sept 22) was my birthday. I wanted to visit Kalkaji Temple. I told my friend to take me to the temple. We reached Kalkaji around 5.45pm. After that, we had darshan at the temple till around 7pm," she stated in the FIR.She said that after visiting the temple, she and her friend bought chips and a bottle of water from outside Kalkaji metro station. They then entered the park through Gate No. 7. She suggested that they sit in the park for some time, eat something and later go for darshan at Iskcon.‘I was very scared.
