Why it matters
The article provides insight into the career development of young athletes navigating the high-pressure environment of professional T20 cricket leagues.
For some time now, Tejasvi Dahiya has been carving a reputation in the Delhi Premier League (DPL) as a fearsome middle-order basher.
His exploits for South Delhi Superstarz in 2025, when he hammered 339 runs in 10 innings at a strike rate of 190.45, even earned him a lucrative Indian Premier League (IPL) contract with Kolkata Knight Riders.
The 24-year-old got to play just two games for a struggling KKR in the summer of 2026, but the experience left him enthused.
“Getting to play in the IPL was motivating. I didn’t get to play much, but luckily, I got a chance towards the end. Playing with some greats was very fruitful. There was a lot to learn. I hope to implement those lessons and get positive results,” the wicketkeeper-batter said at a media interaction.
