If I had one long day to spend in Florida, there are a few things that would definitely be on my itinerary. Emily Hart I've traveled to all 50 states and have spent a good amount of time in Florida. If I only had one day to spend in the state, however, there are a few things I wouldn't miss out on. I'd spend time on the beach, explore Everglades National Park, and drive the Overseas Highway. After visiting all 50 states , I've found beauty in each of them. But after more than a dozen visits, Florida really stands out to me — thanks to its beautiful beaches, turquoise waters, and unique cultural influences. The state, which is also home to three major national parks , is a great place to spend a vacation, a weekend, or even just a long day.
