I love every part of Italy, but I'd return to Emilia-Romagna for its delicious food anytime. Kaitlyn Rosati I've spent a lot of time in Italy, and my favorite region for food is Emilia-Romagna. This part of the country is home to Parmigiano-Reggiano, Mortadella, and balsamic vinegar of Modena. Whenever I visit, I eat lots of tortellini and head to a historic wine bar. After visiting all 20 regions of the country, I can confidently say I'd choose to eat anywhere in Italy over even the best food cities in the US. However, Italy isn't one-size-fits-all when it comes to dining in la dolce vita. Each region has niche dishes and products that locals wear like a badge of honor. Think: mozzarella di bufala from Campania, pesto alla Genovese from Liguria, and arancini from Sicily.
