Years ago, I started my own business, thinking the flexibility would be good for starting a family. Now, I can see that wasn't always the case and I have some regrets. My adult sons turned out well, but if i had it to do over again, I might make different choices. I got married in April of 2000 after living with my now-ex-husband for several years. At the time, I made a good living from my job in advertising, and like many of my colleagues, I'd been doing freelance work on the side for years.
