Westend61/Getty Images I loved traveling the world when I was younger, but I settled down to raise a family. I assumed San Diego would be our forever home, but our kids chose to live in Minnesota. Now I'm moving to a place with mosquitoes and snowy winters, but I bet I'll love it. I love immersing myself in new cultures and customs. I had to settle for reading about them in books as a child, but as soon as I got into college, I started traveling the world . I didn't think I'd ever stay anywhere for long, but as soon as our kids came along, I decided to put down roots and provide some stability. My husband and I have lived in San Diego for decades now.
