Before my Virgin Atlantic flight, I hung out in the Delta One Lounge at LAX. Alesandra Dubin I've flown business class many times. Virgin Atlantic's version of it has never been my favorite. I don't love how its upper-class seats cannot smoothly transition from upright to lie-flat. That said, my flight had great food, top-tier service, and fun vibes that I really enjoyed. As soon as I learned what business-class life was like, I never wanted to go back. Now, my husband and I use credit-card points to get the experience whenever we can, especially on long-haul overnight flights . That's mainly because the lie-flat seat is an absolute game changer, and I was especially looking forward to it when my husband and I booked Virgin Atlantic upper class aboard a 787-9 Dreamliner from Los Angeles to London this summer.
