BHOPAL: The All India Dental Students & Surgeons Association (AIDSA) has suspended its Madhya Pradesh treasurer, Dr Muskan Soni, from her post and the association's membership for five years over a social media post that allegedly justified the murder of Pune businessman Ketan Agrawal. The action came after Dr Soni allegedly shared an Instagram story carrying the hashtag "I Hate Man" and comments perceived as defending the accused in the high-profile murder case involving Agrawal and his fiancée, Siya Goyal. The post triggered widespread criticism on social media, following which Dr Soni issued an apology. However, the association said the apology was insufficient in view of the seriousness of the matter.Dr Soni is currently posted in Satna. Issuing the suspension order on June 29, AIDSA National Working President Dr Divakar Moodautiya said the office-bearer had committed "acts of indiscipline" and made "highly inappropriate, offensive and disrespectful remarks" about the deceased, which were in violation of the association's constitution, code of conduct and ethical values."Such conduct is completely unacceptable and is against the principles and values of AIDSA. The association cannot permit any office-bearer or member to make statements that appear to justify or glorify violence or show disrespect towards the deceased," Dr Moodautiya said.According to the suspension order, Dr Soni has been removed from the post of Treasurer of AIDSA Madhya Pradesh and barred from the association's membership for five years with immediate effect. During the suspension period, she will not be allowed to represent the association in any official capacity, participate in meetings, conferences or organisational activities, or exercise any rights or responsibilities attached to her office or membership.Dr Moodautiya said the decision was taken to preserve the discipline, dignity and integrity of the organisation. "The association maintains a zero-tolerance policy towards conduct that undermines ethical standards or brings disrepute to the profession. Every member is expected to uphold responsible behaviour, both professionally and on social media," he said. You Can Also Check: Gold Rate in Bhopal | Silver Rate in Bhopal | Bank Holidays in Bhopal | Public Holidays in Bhopal | Petrol Price in Bhopal | Diesel Price in Bhopal | CNG Price in Bhopal | LPG Price in BhopalStay updated with the latest Bhopal news.
