Aspiring National Chairperson of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Paul Afoko, has dismissed opinion polls on the party's national chairmanship race, insisting that the only poll that matters to him is the actual vote on October 3.
His comments follow a survey by Global InfoAnalytics that placed former NPP General Secretary John Boadu ahead of the other leading contenders in the race.
The survey, released on August 20, 2026, found that 27% of NPP voters preferred John Boadu as National Chairman, compared with 15% for former Energy Minister Boakye Agyarko and 10% for Paul Afoko.
Speaking to Citi News on the sidelines of a thanksgiving service for the newly elected Ashanti Regional Executives at Gracefields Chapel in the Nhyiaeso Constituency, Mr Afoko said he was confident his message was resonating with delegates across the country.
