'I deserved more action but that's the nature of the sport': Seamus Harnedy on final season with Cork

Seamus Harnedy has announced his retirement from inter-county hurling after a 15-year career with Cork. He expressed frustration over his limited playing time in his final season but emphasized his commitment to supporting younger teammates.

Seamus Harnedy has admitted he was frustrated with his lack of starts for Cork this past season.
Harnedy, who announced his inter-county retirement early last week, made his last start for Cork in the Division 1 final against Limerick in April.
The 36-year-old was the first substitute in the Munster SHC opening win over Tipperary and made further cameo appearances against Waterford and in the provincial final loss to Limerick.
He was also brought on in the All-Ireland quarter-final over Offaly but was not utilised in the semi-final defeat to Galway.
As the recently retired three-time All-Star says “goodbye” to SuperValu Páirc Uí Chaoimh in Ireland colours in Saturday’s Hurling-Shinty International, he is adamant he wasn’t greedy in thinking he should have seen more action.
