Hyundai Motor India to hike vehicle prices by up to 1% from Sep
Hyundai Motor India announced a price hike of up to 1% across its vehicle portfolio starting in September 2026. The company cited rising commodity costs and macroeconomic uncertainties as the primary reasons for the adjustment.
Why it matters
This reflects broader inflationary pressures in the automotive manufacturing sector affecting consumer pricing.
Hyundai Motor India Ltd on Wednesday (August 19, 2026) said it plans to increase prices of its vehicles by up to 1% across its portfolio, from September 2026, to partially offset cost pressures.
The quantum of increase will vary depending on the model and variant, Hyundai Motor India Ltd (HMIL) said in a regulatory filing.
The price revision has been necessitated by a combination of rising input and commodity costs, higher operational expenses and continuing geopolitical and macroeconomic uncertainties, among other factors, it added.
HMIL said it continues to "make every endeavour to optimise costs and absorb cost escalations to minimise the impact on customers".
