Hyderabad will host the 85th Indian Road Congress (IRC) at the HITEX Exhibition Centre from November 19 to 22, with about 3,000 delegates and 400 exhibition stalls expected to be part of the four-day national conference.
Roads and Buildings Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy reviewed the arrangements at a meeting attended by senior State government officials and representatives of the IRC and the Union Ministry of Road Transport and Highways.
Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy and Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari are expected to attend the inaugural session on November 19.
Mr. Venkat Reddy later told reporters that the conference will feature discussions on road construction, road safety, modern technologies and infrastructure development. Students from IITs and engineering colleges in Telangana will also be involved in discussions with experts, he said.
