Hyderabad Police Commissioner V.C. Sajjanar, on Thursday, urged residents to remain vigilant in view of the forecast of heavy rainfall over the next two days and advised them to avoid venturing out unless absolutely necessary during intense rain.
“People should closely monitor weather updates and advisories issued by the India Meteorological Department and plan their daily travel accordingly. The Police Department is working in close coordination with the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) and other government departments to ensure that the rains cause minimum inconvenience to people,” he said.
The Commissioner personally inspected traffic movement and road conditions at Punjagutta and Khairatabad junctions on Thursday and issued instructions to field officials to ensure smooth traffic management.
