Hyderabad police are stepping up security arrangements for the Milad-un-Nabi procession scheduled to be held on August 26, with the main procession to be monitored through drones and CCTV cameras, Hyderabad City Police Commissioner V.C. Sajjanar said on Saturday.
The Commissioner held a coordination meeting with representatives of the Markaz-e-Milad Juloos Committee at the Telangana Integrated Command and Control Centre (TGICCC) in Banjara Hills and urged them to ensure the procession is conducted peacefully and concludes within the stipulated timeframe.
The Commissioner said the procession should begin at the scheduled time and stressed that DJs and sound systems causing excessive noise pollution would not be permitted in accordance with the Supreme Court and government regulations. He also warned that minors driving vehicles, triple-riding on motorcycles and rash driving using modified silencers would not be tolerated.
No bike rallies would be permitted before the scheduled date, he said.
