A 39-year-old man from Hyderabad drowned while fishing in the Baswapuram Reservoir in Bhongir on Sunday afternoon after his leg allegedly got entangled underwater.
The deceased was identified as Mohammed Naeem Shasha Junaid, a driver and a resident of Banjara Hills.
According to an officer from the Bhongir Rural Police, the Dial 100 control room received information about the incident at around 12 noon. A police patrol team rushed to the reservoir and launched a search operation, during which the man’s body was retrieved from the water.
