Hyderabad Karnataka Horata Samiti revives campaign for effective implementation of Article 371(J)

After remaining largely inactive for several years, the Hyderabad Karnataka Horata Samiti has revived its campaign to press for the effective implementation of Article 371(J) of the Constitution, which provides special provisions for the socio-economic development of the seven districts of the Kalyana Karnataka region.

As part of the renewed initiative, the samiti will hold a deliberation on the effective implementation of Article 371(J) in Kalaburagi on July 29. The meeting will review the implementation of the constitutional provisions, discuss the region’s pending developmental issues, and formulate a roadmap to secure the full benefits envisaged under Article 371(J). The event coincides with the birth anniversary of the late Vaijnath Patil, a former Minister and the chief architect of the movement that led to the region’s constitutional recognition through Article 371(J).
