Hurricane Isaias caused widespread power outages across the US Gulf Coast after making landfall near Destin, Florida, as a Category 2 storm. Hundreds of thousands of residents in Florida, Alabama, and Georgia were left without electricity as the storm brought intense winds and heavy rain.

The category 2 hurricane made landfall near Destin, Florida , late Friday, with maximum sustained winds of 105 miles per hour. It weakened to a post-tropical cyclone by early morning, with winds of 65 mph, the National Weather Service said.
